Busongeval in Zwitserland

De orthodoxe Kerk in ons land betuigt haar medeleven aan de families van de slachtoffers. Metropoliet Panteleimon van Belgie, exarch van het Oecumenisch Patriarchaat van Constantinopel, drukt samen met de orthodoxe kerk in ons land zijn medeleven uit aan koning Albert II en betoont zijn solidariteit en steun aan de families van de slachtoffers.

Diaken Ciprian heeft het programma bekendgemaakt van het Orthodox Jongerenweekend in Saint-Hubert! Het ziet er als volgt uit:

20:30 – gespreksavond en voorstelling van de deelnemende jongeren

9:00 – Voorbereiding van de zondagsliturgie: met wat uitleg over de Goddelijke Liturgie, zang, ikonen, de voorbereiding van de gaven, enz.
11:30 – Opening van de plenaire zitting van het OJB-JOB weekend door de Zeer Hooggewijde Heer Metropoliet Panteleimon van België, en lezing: I Love Therefore I Am… (Liefde is Zijn)
Lezing door zuster Magdalen van het Patriarchaal en Stavropegiek Orthodox Klooster St John the Baptist te Tolleshunt Knight, Maldon, Essex (Engeland).
13:00 – Middageten en wandeling
16:00 – Ronde tafel: De liefde in ons leven… met verschillende deelnemers

I Love, Therefore I Am

Dear all,

We are proud to announce that the next annual Orthodox Youth Meeting will be held at the Ardennes town of Saint-Hubert (near Han-sur-Lesse) from November 11-13.

The weekend's theme will be "I Love, Therefore I Am". The main speaker will be Sister Magdalen from the Orthodox Monastery at Tolleshunt Knights, Maldon, Essex.

14 Orthodox Youth Weekend

From Friday evening of October 22 till Sunday afternoon of October 24th, the Orthodox Youth in Belgium organises its (officially) 14th Youth Weekend. As usual, it will be a weekend to meet old and new young Orthodox acquaintances (aged 15-35). This year's theme is "The Trinity in our Life". God is love, the Love that makes the three divine Persons into One.

14e Jongerenweekend in De Kluis

Van vrijdagavond 22 tot zondagmiddag 24 oktober organiseert de OJB-JOB haar (officieel) 14e Jongerenweekend. Zoals gewoonlijk wordt het een weekend om oude en nieuwe bekende orthodoxe jongeren tegen het lijf te lopen. Het thema van dit jaar is "De Drie-Eenheid in ons Leven". God is liefde, de Liefde die de drie goddelijke Personen Een maakt.

Leuke theorie, maar wat heb IK daar nu aan?

ΠΡΟΣΚΛΗΣΗ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟ ΓΛΕΝΤΙ ΣΤΟ GENK

Το Σάββατο 9 Οκτωβρίου 2010, από τις 19:00 και μετά η Ορθόδοξη Nεολαία Βελγίου οργανώνει ένα Ελληνικό Γλέντι στην αίθουσα της Eλληνικής Kοινότητας στο Genk.

Μια βραδιά γεμάτη κέφι, παραδοσιακά ελληνικά φαγητά (σουβλάκια, τζατζίκι,...) και ποτά σε "δημοκρατικές" τιμές, μοντέρνα Ελληνική μουσική καθώς και ζωντανά χορευτικά και μουσικά συγκροτήματα (Σύλλογος Εβριτών-Θρακιωτών Λιμβούργου, Χορευτικό Συγκρότημα Καλίτσα, "Κερί και φτερά"(Αντώνης, Αχιλέας, Λευτέρης και Αντωνέλλα), DJ Πανα,...).

UITNODIGING GRIEKS FEEST TE GENK

Op zaterdag 9 oktober 2010 vanaf 19u organiseert de Orthodoxe Jeugd in België een Grieks Feest in de feestzaal van de Griekse Gemeenschap te Genk. Het wordt een avond vol ambiance met typisch eten (souvlakia, tzatziki,...) en drinken aan democratische prijzen, hedendaagse Griekse muziek, en live optredens van dans- en muziekgroepen (Griekse Vereniging Evrou-Thraki Limburg, Dansgroep Kalitsa, "Wax and Feathers" (Tony, Achilea, Lefteri en Nelly), DJ Pana,...).

De hoofdprijzen van de tombola zijn een gratis bootreis voor 2 personen van Piraeus naar Paros, met dank aan BLUE STAR FERRIES, een gratis vliegreis Brussel-Athene voor 2 personen vanwege AEGEAN AIRLINES, en een gratis bootreis voor 2 personen met auto en cabine op een internationale lijn van ANEK LINES.

Από το βράδυ της Παρασκευής 22 Οκτωβρίου έως το μεσημέρι της Κυριακής 24 Οκτωβρίου 2010, οργανώνει η Ορθόδοξη Νεολαία Βελγίου το 14ο Ορθόδοξο σαββατοκύριακο νέων. Η συνάντηση θα γίνει στο νεανικό καταφύγιο "De Kluis" στο Sint-Joris-Weert, ανάμεσα στο Βρυξέλλες, Leuven και Wavre.
Το Σαββατοκύριακο θα έχει ως θέμα: "Η Αγία Τριάδα Στη Ζωή Μας".

From Friday evening October 22d to Sunday afternoon October 24th, 2010, the Orthodox Youth in Belgium will celebrate its 14th annual Orthodox Youth Weekend. The Meeting will take place at the youth residence of "De Kluis" at Sint-Joris-Weert, near Brussels, on the railroad between Leuven and Wavre. 

The meeting's theme will be "The Trinity In Our Life".

The key-note speaker will be Dr. Konstantinos Kenanidis (Δρ. Κωνσταντίνος Κενανίδης), head (Γενικός Διευθυντής) of the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAK) at Kolymbari, Kissamos province.

We kindly invite you all to the next meeting of the Orthodox Youth in Belgium (OJB-JOB) on Sunday March 21st at Brussels.

The meeting starts @ St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (Vooruitgangstraat 293 Rue du Progres) near the Brussels-North Railway Station. After the Divine Liturgy, Fr. Panagiotis will talk about "Confession". This will be followed by a walk in the Duden Park. The meeting will be closed back at Brussels.

Participation is free, we only ask some help at the meals.

In this way, they cultivated fundamentalisms, hatreds, divisions, a magical perception and relationship with God, also a competitive disposition of one towards another, a self-centered view of life, a utilitarian and self-benefiting perception of society, an imaginary interpretation of everything, the sentimental approach to living and generally the opinion that the others comprise – and are - a threat to our existence.

Official Jubilee Weekend Report (Orthobel)

The Annual Gathering of the 'Orthodox Youth of Belgium' took place from 16 till 18 October, 2009 in 'De Kluis', Sint-Joris-Weert (near Leuven). The very theme of the gathering was "Keep thy mind in hell, and despair not", a significant sentence of Saint Silouan the Athonite.
